3rd April 2024 - Blood Bikes
A life-saving venture
This talk explains the work of the Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire Blood Bikes and the life-saving service provided in our county.
1st May 2024 - Handmade Fused Glass
A demonstration by Ally Glass
An interactive talk with the opportunity to make a piece of jewellery and buy handcrafted glass goods.
5th June 2024 - The History of Shelton Hospital
A talk by Rose Morris
A talk about one of our old local buildings once known as Shelton Asylum.
23rd June 2024 - Centenary Afternoon Tea
at Refresh
This promises to be a splendid afternoon. Booking required.
3rd July 2024 - Outing to Llanfair PG
The location of the UK's first WI
A coach trip to the first WI in the UK – to include a visit to the WI museum and a two-course lunch.
7th August 2024 - Garden Meeting
In the garden of one of our members
As usual, this will be a bring-and-share evening.
4th September 2024 - Butterfield's Edward Johnson Trust – Supporting platform children in India
Speaker: Rebecca Moulding
How the charity was founded and helps to give street children lifechanging opportunities.
Chance to buy gifts and Indian silk scarves
2nd October 2024 - Annual Meeting & Members' Centenary Evening

From suffragettes to to the Women's Land Army, a talk about the everyday lives of ordinary women making a difference.
22nd November 2024 - Centenary Dinner
At the Corbet Arms, Uffington
A celebratory dinner with a fabulous after-dinner speaker!
4th December 2024 - Hands of Genius
The incredible artwork of Graham Short
Graham works as a micro artist, and among his creations he has engraved the Lord's Prayer on the head of a dressmaking pin!
8th January 2025 - Beetle Drive
Please note that this meeting is on the 2nd Wednesday
This is a fast game and it can get very competitive!
31st January 2025 - New Year Party
Our annual bring-and-share party
Open to members and their guests.
Entertainment will be provided.
5th February 2025 - Heroes and Villains
with Ian and Hilary Templeton
A tale of famous people, but it may cause you to consider which are the heroes and which are the villains!
5th March 2025 - Singapore
a talk by Graeme Kerr
True events about the period 1939-1950 in Singapore where Graeme spent many years.
